This Week's Sky
The most significant upcoming cosmic event is the impending Mercury retrograde. According to The Old Farmer's Almanac, the next retrograde cycle starts on October 24, 2026, and will last until November 13, 2026. This period is traditionally associated with communication challenges, travel delays, and a need for double-checking contracts and plans.
Currently, Jupiter in Leo remains a dominant influence. This transit favors creative pursuits, romance, personal visibility, and bold acts of passion and generosity. Jupiter’s presence in Leo encourages embracing joy, celebrating individuality, and leading with warmth, creativity, and genuine enthusiasm.
Sign Spotlight
While specific daily forecasts vary, the current planetary alignments suggest that signs ruled by fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) may feel the most supported by Jupiter in Leo. The emphasis on "personal visibility" and "leading with warmth" points to a time where these signs can shine brightest. Conversely, all signs should prepare for the upcoming Mercury retrograde by reviewing communications and travel plans before October 24.
Cosmic Calendar
- October 24, 2026: Mercury begins its retrograde cycle. This marks the start of a period requiring caution in communications and technology use.
- November 13, 2026: Mercury retrograde ends. This date signals the return of clearer communication and smoother operational flow.
Note: Specific daily transits for October 15 are not detailed in the available fresh sources, but the broader October forecast emphasizes the Jupiter-Leo energy and the approaching Mercury retrograde.
